12th Street Sound - Austin, TX

Located near the heart of downtown Austin, 12th St. Sound was built inside an old church building. The interior of the building was completely gutted in order to make way for the studio.

The main control room monitors are Dynaudio M3As, tri-amped with Bryston amplifiers and crossovers, wall-mounted in an RFZ configuration. The console is a 64 channel SSL 9000J, and the studio features outboard electronics by Urei, Eventide, dbx, Empirical Labs, GML, TubeTech, Drawmer, UA, Pultec, Tonelux, Bricasti, etc.

The tracking room walls are a combination of absorptive, diffusive, and reflective surfaces. 12th Street Sound offers its clients a nice mic selection and other amenities, including a Yamaha C3 grand piano and a Hammond C3 with Leslie.
