Two Egrets Media and Recording is owned by singer-songwriter-producer Mike Garrigan and is located in a former garage. Mike did a lot of the work himself, and in the long run got a lot of bang for the buck. Since there is no dedicated tracking room, drums are often cut in the control room, with excellent results.
Main monitors are Urei 809s, powered by a Hafler 9508 (300 watts per channel). Mixing is done in the box, using a DigiDesign 002 with ProTools LE, and outboard gear by Focusrite, Avalon, and Empirical Labs.
Rear wall diffusors are RPG Wood Hemiffusors. The custom acoustical work was handled by Tony Brett of Brett Acoustics.
